Information about Jack
I left Eton College this year with 4A* at A-level and have a detailed understanding of the best method to prepare for exams. I combine a fresh knowledge of what to expect in modern exams with reliable, up-to-date exam technique to draw out the best possible results for my students. By placing emphasis on understanding of the material, my students will gradually increase in confidence and ability.
I really enjoy tutoring and will likely go into the Teach First scheme after I have finished University. I am currently on a gap year, applying to Cambridge University for Natural Sciences and trying to earn some money to go travelling!
For A-level I studied Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry (and gave up Biology).
I did Latin and Ancient Greek beyond GCSE at school. I won my school`s senior Science prize in my last year, and have qualified for the British Maths Olympiad.
Availability: Willing to do both weekdays and weekends.
I also offer online tutoring, where it is more appropriate.
Willing to travel: 30 miles
Experience: I am currently working as a tutor for Clarendon Tutors. They specialise in offering one of the most bespoke tutoring services in London, and it is a very successful company.
In the Midlands I have tutored at a range of levels, including for the academic scholarship to Eton College and Oakham School.
While I was at school I taught the Chemistry A-level to another boy in my year. He was consistently getting D grades in past papers, and so came to me for help. After an intensive three days of tutoring he somehow managed to get an A*!
