Having graduated in Sociology from University of Bristol 11 years ago (that makes me feel old), I`ve worked teaching Sociology ever since. Whilst teaching GCSE and A Level Sociology I have worked as a Head of Year for years 10, 11, 12 and 13, so I have a very good understanding of the bigger picture for students going through GCSEs and A Levels.

I am friendly, approachable and professional and take great pride in knowing that the students I work with consistency meet or exceed their targets.

Availability: Weekday afternoons/evenings. Some availability during day but to be discussed.

Experience: I have specialised in teaching GCSE and A Level Sociology on the AQA specification. I have taught units on Theory and Methods, Crime and Deviance, Education, Mass Media, Education, Culture and Society, Family, Social Inequality, Beliefs in Society and many more.

I have significant experience in teaching students how to structure and improve their essays, as well as gain confidence of key concepts and how to apply them in exam answers. I have had extensive training on GCSE and A Level exam specifications.

I have worked with over 300 individual Year 13 students on their UCAS applications and am more than happy to assist my tutees in applying to university regardless of what they want to study.
