AQA and EDUQAS EXAMINER/ Qualified English GCSE Teacher /GRADE 9s / PROVEN RESULTS

Experience: With a proven track record in achieving excellent results for my students and an experienced AQA examiner, I am here for all your English needs! One of my students this year progressed from a predicted grade 4 to achieving two grade 7s in the GCSEs. Six of my other students achieved grade 9s, having been on track for grade 6s all year. Due to my TeachFirst training and working in a range of outstanding schools, I know how to engage and motivate pupils and differentiate to their vast needs. I am a firm but fair teacher, who is extremely passionate about my subject. As a language specialist, with over seven years of teaching experience, I have a strong desire to teach others the value and skills of English. Literature texts that I have taught, include, `An Inspector Calls`, `A Christmas Carol`, `Jekyll and Hyde`, `Frankenstein`, `Animal Farm` and a wide range of all exam board poetry. Additionally, I have taught numerous Shakespeare texts including, `A Midsummer Night`s Dream`, `Macbeth` and `Romeo and Juliet`, having also trained with, and been awarded a certificate by, the Royal Shakespeare Company.
