Information about Carli
After completing a degree in English Language and Literature from The University of Leeds (BA Hons 2.1), I completed a Post Graduate Certificate In Education at The University of Cambridge. I then spent 7 years working as a Teacher of English in secondary schools in the UK and United Arab Emirates. I have also worked as an Examiner for GCSE English. I currently work as a Private Tutor and specialise in GCSE English Language and Literature and iGCSE English Language.

Carli tutored my son for English GCSE. She started to tutor him on his third attempt at the exam and at this point his confidence was low. Carli quickly established a rapport with him and gradually rebuilt his confidence, with a lot of patience and encouragement. He is not always the keenest of students (!), but Carli was persistent, very clear about what tasks she expected him to complete and regularly updated me on progress, especially if she felt he needed a nudge from me. I`m so glad that we found Carli, she was exactly the kind of tutor that my son needed and I would happily recommend her.
