I am a motivated and approachable tutor with a strong passion for helping students understand and excel in their studies. I specialise in Mathematics and Accounting, supporting students at GCSE level to build both confidence and strong academic foundations.

With a background in Accounting, I focus on breaking down complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. I bring a high degree of patience to my teaching, combined with a strong understanding of the subjects I teach. My approach is structured, methodical, and tailored to each student’s individual learning pace, ensuring they feel supported and comfortable asking questions at all times.

I am committed to giving my full effort in every lesson, using clear explanations and targeted practice to help students develop a solid grasp of the subject matter.

I firmly believe that every student can succeed with the right guidance and encouragement. My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students build confidence and develop independent learning habits that will benefit them in the long term.

Experience: I am an experienced and dedicated Mathematics tutor with a long-standing track record of helping students achieve academic success. My tutoring journey began in Singapore in 1998, where I provided private tuition in Mathematics and Principles of Accounts to students aged 9 to 16. I balanced tutoring alongside my own studies, working part-time during term time and taking on a greater number of students on a full-time basis during school holidays.

During my time at University of Hull (2004–2005), I was selected by Emdirect under the Student Associates Scheme to teach Mathematics to secondary school students at Malet Lambert School. This experience further strengthened my ability to deliver structured and engaging lessons in a classroom setting.

Following my graduation, I relocated to London, where I have been working full-time while continuing to tutor GCSE Mathematics students on a part-time basis. I have successfully supported students with varying abilities, helping them build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve strong exam results.

With over two decades of tutoring experience, I bring a patient, adaptable, and results-oriented approach to teaching. I am committed to helping each student reach their full potential through clear explanations, targeted practice, and consistent support.
