Information about Karen
I am currently undergoing my 3rd year at Imperial College London in the Chemistry department, having finished my first and second year with 2:1 grades.
I tutor sciences and maths with the goal of getting to know my students so that they are comfortable enough to send my questions and problems they are having throughout the week. There is no such thing as a stupid question! I enjoy tutoring as it allows me to create "lightbulb" moments on the faces of my students when they suddenly understand a difficult problem or topic.
I completed my A-levels (and equivalents) in 2016, graduating from North London Collegiate School with:
D1 in Chemistry Pre-U (equivalent to A** at A-level)
A* in Physics A-level
A in Biology A-level
A in Maths A-level (though I was only 2 UMS off an A*)
A in Further Maths AS
While my GCSE results were 9A*s, an A in English Literature AS, and an A in Additional Maths (FSMQ)
Availability: I am currently fully booked. I am not taking on any new students.
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I attended North London Collegiate School for my secondary education and throughout my time there I helped out many of my fellow classmates by explaining concepts & content and going though homework with them, with all of them gaining A/A* equivalents in their A-levels. I was also recommended by a teacher to tutor a GCSE student in all 3 sciences during breaks in my AS year, for which she got an A.

Miss Karen is an excellent tutor. Having helped me through a tough time in GCSEs, she dragged me through three stressful months before the exams, and supported me to guarantee that I would achieve what I wanted to. I walked in with expectations which were surpassed with Miss Karens teachingI aimed for a 7 in Physics and an 8 in Math, but instead received 8 in Physics and 9 in Math! I am absolutely overjoyed about my results and I happily recommend Miss Karen. She is a kind and determined woman who will definitely help any student achieve top grades.
