am a very experienced and well qualified teacher; I have recently returned from New Zealand where I was Director of Music at Nelson Cathedral, and before that at Harrow School Hong Kong. I was educated in the Midlands, and then at Trinity College London, I have been a music examiner for over 20 years. I have a great deal of experience as a performer as well as a teacher, and have made recordings and featured on live broadcasts for BBC TV and radio, as well as Hong Kong radio.
I lived and worked in and around London for several years where I taught in schools and privately. I am now hoping to settle in the Midlands and looking forward to helping students achieve their goals.

Availability: Very flexible and good at the moment

Experience: I have been a very successful teacher, both in schools and privately. I have taught beginners who have continued with me to grade 8 and beyond. I particularly enjoy working with adult beginners and teenagers. I have had many pupils achieve notable successes in diploma examinations and go on to music colleges and universities, including scholarships to Oxford and Cambridge.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach is fairly relaxed and pupil-centred. I am a good diagnostician and design my teaching courses to focus on the areas of a pupil`s technique and musical skills/perception that need the most attention.
My approach with young beginners is relaxed and I aim to make lessons fun as well as rewarding.
