I have been studying and working in Chemistry for 12 years, obtaining both an MChem and PhD in the subject from Durham University. Most recently, I worked at Imperial College London where I did a mixture of research, supervision of research students and teaching of undergraduate students. I am currently taking a break while loomi g after our young children.

Many students find chemistry a challenging subject. I try to explain core concepts in a simple way with illustrations from day to day life so that it is easier to relate to and remember.

I have lots of experience of working with young people having also been employed as a youth worker and independently tutored both A level and GCSE grade.

Availability: Week days/evenings

- Tutor to 1st and 2nd year groups of students at Imperial College
- Supervision of undergraduate laboratory sessions and their marking
- Previous experience tutoring GCSE and A level students
- Experience conducting UCAS interviews
- Experience of overseeing masters and PhD students in research labs
- Experience working in a school as a lab technician
