Information about Hannah

I have been a piano and singing teacher for a decade, moderator for an exam board and a Head of Music at both a primary and secondary school. I have been training as a musician and performer from since I can remember.
I have been playing the piano since the age of 3, performing in various music concerts and gigs throughout my career. Also a trained Jazz and Musical Theatre singer, I`ve enjoyed performing both onstage and in bands offstage. I am also an experienced curriculum Music teacher and examiner, having led Music departments in both a primary and secondary setting. I have led on Eduqas and Edexcel GCSE Music in schools, Eduqas A Level Music and Edexcel A Level Music Technology.
I have taught various pupils, some playing purely for fun and preparing others for ABRSM grades from Grade 1-8 including Grade 5 Theory. My students have a 100% pass rate in their graded examinations.
Having been through every single piano grade myself, I feel I have the fresh mindset to really help those wanting to achieve grades with the most genuine understanding of how difficult it actually is. I deem it very important to get to know my students and therefore tailor my lesson plans for them. Each individual is unique and learns in different ways so I ensure they can all reach their own potential in lessons.
Most importantly of all, I understand how frustrating as well as beautiful learning an instrument and music theory can get so I would make sure scales, sight reading are kept as fun as possible in order to ensure the student can always enjoy practicing and playing.
