Information about Emma

I have recently completed my teacher training course and have gained QTS (qualified teacher status) and a PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate of Education) in Secondary Science. I have been teaching in schools since September 2019, and have been setting online work for students since we went into lockdown.

Before starting my teacher training, I completed a PhD in chemistry (July 2018), and spent a year working as a tutor, teaching 10+ students GCSE and A level across a range of exam boards. I have a strong academic background (4 As at A level, MSci Chemistry (1st class) from University of Bristol, MRes in Sustainable Chemistry (distinction) from University of Bath) and a wealth of experience in presenting and communication science through public engagement and science communication activities.
