In active learning sessions, I encourage students to develop higher-order learning skills by applying and evaluating the course material. This includes asking a student to explain topics in their own words to reinforce understanding, and exploring external resources within and beyond the syllabus. I have been praised for producing great learning outcomes, and for my friendly and open demeanour.

Experience: I am an established science research & education professional with teaching and outreach experience from primary to university level, including supervision of Cambridge undergraduates for the University. I now lead the training programme at a mature spin-off company. I earned a 1st-class physical science degree and a PhD, both at Cambridge.
