Information about Yvette
I have been tutoring primary school maths (Key Stage 2/ aged 8 and up) for many years. My emphasis is always on building confidence and a greater understanding of the foundations of maths. With this in mind, children then learn to apply those skills to their everyday lives. Lessons are fun and dynamic but always productive, even though the children don’t always realise it! I support children through SATs however my goal primarily is to teach the skills for independent learning. This increases confidence to tackle challenges which will carry children through Key Stage 3 and beyond.

Yvette has a very fun and warm approach. She put my daughter at ease and had her working in no time. Her methods are interactive and she makes them personal my daughters likes and interests. Her homework is simple, effective and not heavy. In a week we have already seen an increase in confidence and willingness to practice times tables in bite size chunks.
