I have offered private tutoring in primary school maths (Key Stage 2/ aged 8 and up) for many years. My emphasis is always on building confidence and a greater understanding of the foundations of maths. With this in mind, children then learn to apply those skills to their everyday lives. Lessons are fun and dynamic but always productive, even though the children don’t always realise it! I support children through SATs however my goal primarily is to teach the skills for independent learning. This increases confidence to tackle challenges which will carry children through Key Stage 3 and beyond.
