Availability: I am offering online English Language and Literature tutoring from primary school level to A level, am willing to be flexible with availability

Experience: I have a long history of working with children and teenagers both educationally and pastorally. Both during and since graduating university, I have been a tutor for children of a variety of ages, conducting both group and one on one sessions. During my gap year, I helped a small group of primary school children with both English and Maths, as well as a GCSE student who, with my help, was successful in attaining an A grade in both English Language and Literature, despite the fact that she was predicted a C. During my studies and also after leaving university, I went back to tutoring several times, working with other GCSE students with predictions ranging from fail to A*, as well as helping a number of children prepare for 11+ and common entrance.I try to maintain a flexible approach to teaching, as my teaching experience and also my own experience as a student has taught me that each student has a different way of learning and deserves teaching suited to their particular needs. Before taking a tutoring job, I make sure to have a thorough conversation with the student`s parent or guardian about what they are struggling with, so that I can deliver the best quality lesson for their child. I tend to teach in hour-long sessions with a 5-minute break in the middle to avoid the student losing focus, but this of course is also flexible. I can provide suitable references on request.
