I love teaching children and young people to be the best that they can be. I have a passion and desire to teach the future generations and to inspire them to reach their full potential. My strongest skill is being able to act as both a team player and a leader by listening and communicating my ideas across effectively whilst also taking on board the ideas of other people in the team. I have shown this through several teams where I have stood up and taken the leadership role throughout my undergraduate degree, allocating tasks to the team and outlining the objectives and expectations of the task at hand.

Managing behaviour is one of my main strengths where I use the resources provided in the classroom and my own initiative to enable a safe and enjoyable working environment for all children.

I want to help all children and young people for example those who may be slipping through the cracks of the education system, missing gaps in their learning or simply are in need of a boost to keep on target.

Availability: My availability currently is:
Saturdays = 9-1pm
Sundays = 9-1pm

Experience: I have worked and volunteered with children and young people in both primary and secondary education. I have coached and tutored children in both English and Maths from age 4 (pre-nursery/preschool age) to Year 6 - and Maths to Year 7.

I have taught, coached and mentored children who have additional needs such as: global developmental delay, ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, SEMH, SEND, Speech and Language difficulties and more. My tutor sessions are adapted to each individual and their needs, no matter what the child`s needs are.

I have been a team leader and wave leader on National Citizen Service (NCS) for four years working with and alongside people from all different backgrounds. Through NCS, I tried to bring out the best in the young people by encouraging them out of their comfort zones and to overcome new challenges. I have been able to adapt my skills from NCS and CoachBright and transfer them to the classroom when teaching.

I have also worked as a permanent and a supply teacher in a range of different primary schools teaching in all years from Reception to Year 6. I currently work in a preschool where I am still able to transfer all the skills I have learnt into teaching and guiding the young children I work with each day.
