Male, primary school teacher with 14 years experience as either a teacher or teaching assistant. Before being qualified and after completing my GCSEs / A-Levels, as an adult, I spent a short time teaching in South Korea before completing my teacher training in the academic year, 2016-17.

I bring a unique style of pedagogy to tutoring / teaching - relying on the child to lead rather than me to lecture. This is a pedagogy that has served me well in the classroom - a curriculum is taught but in ways that appeal to my cohort at the time and where possible, I tend not to follow the rules but achieve good results when working with children long term.

Experience: I have worked in Primary education since 2010 and have been teaching, permanently. since 2016. Since November 2020 I have been a Primary supply teacher and have worked in over 60 schools, across Kent, in the last 4 years. Working in each school from half day up to a year in contract length. This has enabled me to experience a plethora of teaching styles, classroom set-ups and primary behaviours and pedagogy. I have predominantly worked in KS2 up to September 2023 but since September 2023 have worked in KS1. My current contract, since December 2023, is in a Year 1 class of a small, single-form school.

I have previously tutored children during the pandemic and afterwards. These children have been in a variety of year groups and the tutoring aims have been for a variety of purposes.
