What Software Should I Use?

I`m often asked which software is the best to use by people starting out in home music making.

The short answer is any. There is no one superior program that will yield better results than another. When you are competent in music production you can get great results from any of the programs on the market, so don`t be swayed by expensive price tags and lavish statements from software vendors.

There are however programs with steeper learning curves than others, and if you are new to the area I might recommend a lighter product to start with like, Ableton Live or Reason.

Essentially all of these programs do much the same thing just in slightly different ways, and one program might suite one persons needs more than another. Its best just to experiment and find your way.
