French

French was always my first love. I have studied it since I was only seven or eight myself, and being unable to give it up, I am now studying it alongside Russian at Cambridge University.

I would encourage anyone with a love of languages, travel or culture to study French. It is a beautiful language and spoken all over the world.

I spent 5 weeks over the summer working in France, and I can honestly say that the experience was incredible. To be able to communicate with foreigners in their country is a great feeling. You get so much more out of time abroad when you have this amazing access into their culture.

So, if you`re unsure as to whether or not French is for you, I would say it`s a must. Even if you don`t go on to study it at university, any language is a life skill that will open doors for you all over the world.
