Without Facebook and Twitter, my professional performance career would not be as successful as it is now.

If you are wondering how you can get your name and music out there to the people you think would like to hear it, then get yourself a Twitter account.

Make sure you write a concise descri ption of yourself and include a link to any Youtube or Facebook music pages. Follow people you think might be interested in your music, and also people you find interesting.

Retweet things you find interesting, tweet people even if you think they wont reply. Send your link in response to tweets that it may fit with. The best thing is not to be shy or pushy, somewhere in between. If you tweet someone too much they will block you!

On Facebook make an artist page and send the link around all your friends to add it and promote it. Also post the link on pages that are similar to yours so that their fans will also add yours.

Social media isnt something just to waste time on, it can be such a useful tool to get your name out there to the audience that want it.
