Date : 29/08/2023
SLAP UK stands for:Scale - Have you chosen the appropriate scale and numerical integers? As a rule of thumb you should aim to go up in integers of 1, 2 or 5. Line of best fit - Always use a ruler and a sharp pencil (unless the data points curve).Axis - the INDEPENDENT variable ALWAYS goes on the X axis, and the DEPENDENT variable goes on the Y axis. Points - are they neatly and accurately plotted? Units - ALWAYS label your axes and include the UNITS. For example - Time (seconds)Key - Not all graphs will need a key, but if there are multiple sets of data to be plotted on one graph a key should be included so that the person reading the graph is aware of which data refers to which variable.
