Introducing yourself is a very important first step when learning a language. It is important to learn how to introduce yourself when learning a new language so you can meet new people and "break the ice". It also allows others to feel comfortable in your presence and allows you to make a good first impression by being polite. Let`s get to it!

Ways to say "hello" in French.

Firstly, we should learn how to say "hello" appropriately. The most common words for "hello" in French are "Bonjour" and "Salut", but it is important to note that there is a difference in tone to each one, and we should know which one to use depending on context. "Bonjour" is more polite, and can be used to say hello safely to people you are just meeting for the first time, you should use this when the person you are meeting is outside &of your friendship or family circle.

"Salut" is a more friendly way of saying "hello", and can be used in a more casual environment, for example when meeting a friend of a friend.

After saying hello, it is common practice to follow with "ca va?", which means "how`s it going". So, when meeting a friend of a friend, we can say "Salut, ca va?". Let`s practise together!
