1. Make sure your personal statement is...personal!

University recruiters already know everything about your grades from your transcri pts and your teacher reference. What they need to know from YOU is what makes YOU different from the sea of faceless transcri pts they are going through! What experiences have you had that have made you passionate about your subject? What aspects of your personality set you apart from the masses? Make sure you tell them YOUR story and why your subject is an important part of YOUR life!
