after a month tutoring, I can see my daughter already improves quite a lot on her writing.

One of the worst teachers I ever have. I simply wasted my money and time not only for finding a tutor but also for the lesson fees. He never prepares the lesson and keeps repeating the same thing in the lesson. Of course, his defence was different though. He blamed us we wanted a sharp improvement and asked me to wait. Well, if I wanted a sharp improvement, then I would never stop the lessons in the middle of my daughter`s mock exams but wait. He is not even worth to keep until the exam finished. All his long excuses were not convincing.
It becomes make me questioning of his academic qualifications and I was advised by the Tutor hunt that it was not been verified as it`s optional. A teacher chooses to provide his academic qualifications. In his case, no. So, no way to check about it for me. Overall, it`s your choice, but definitely not for me.
Tutors Response :
This review appears to be from the parent of a student, with whom I had only 3 lessons, all of which progressed fine and the student was making steady and real progress.
However, unfortunately this parent was ignorant of her childs progress, failing to understand her improvement and complained about numerous issues, including lessons costs and timings (all of which are posted online), demanding instant results and actually expecting additional time to be spent uncharged. To say this parent is deluded about how tutoring can benefit her childs education is a gross understatement. I found the parent to be incredibly pushy, both towards myself and towards her own child and this detracted from further progress being made outside of lessons, as there was a clear and negative environment around the student, with immensely unrealistic expectations of the students achievement. The student was currently at grade D/E, so time was required for her to move to grade A/B - this will not happen in 3 lessons!
As a successful tutor for over 15 years, who has guided students to A/A* in this subject (starting from grade E) I clearly explained this process takes time to build the students confidence and accuracy, but unfortunately the parent was oblivious and displayed a shocking level of disregard and insensitivity for her childs current level and the clear learning curve required.
In conclusion, an unbelievably poor parent and a shame to see that such unrealistic expectations are still being pushed onto overloaded students in the 21st century! 0/5
