I have been teaching for 16 years and currently teach in a primary school. I am highy exerienced, dedicated and professional and have worked across all Key Stages from KS1 to 5. I started my teaching career in a high school teaching Maths to A level and Literacy to GCSE. I decided after five years to change direction and gained a teaching post in a primary school teaching year 6. I currently teach year two and have worked in several local primary schools.

I love teaching within the primary phases but am very flexible in terms of being able to offer tuition to older pupils and students. I have been tutoring privately for 5 years and have a proven track record of improved grades. I offer a range of subjects - I am equally at home tutoring primary to A level Maths, Literacy from Year One to Year 10 and have much experience of coaching for 11+ and entrance exams. I have testimonials and references from past clients. Although I love being in the classroom, I particularly enjoy working on a 1-1 basis and it was for this reason I set up Cheshire Home Tutors a rapidly expanding home tuition agency. I build excellent relationships with both parents and pupils. I can offer help with exam technique and always carry out an initial assessment for each pupil to see where there are any gaps in learning. I use this as a basis for planning my sessions. I leave homework and provide detailed feedback after each lesson.

I am more than willing to travel to clients or tutees can come to my house. I have a wide range of resources and aim to make my sessions as engaging as possible. For younger pupils I incorporate games and the use of ICT to meet my session objectives and to make our time as much fun as possible.
