I am a mother of 3 and currently teach history part time at a high achieving girls’ school in Twickenham South West London.

Availability: All day Thursday.
After school Monday - Friday

Experience: I came to teaching late in life and feel privileged to be in such a fantastic profession. I hope my enthusiasm; not just for teaching but also for my subject will encourage every student I teach to fulfil their true potential. Last year I taught in two schools so feel confident with both Edexel and AQA history syllabus at GCSE level. Encouraging students to choose history as a GCSE subject is equally important. Of the 45 year 9 students I taught in 2011, 43 went on to take history as a GCSE option. My aim is to get the best out of every student in a kind, empathetic and encouraging way. I feel it is important to work as a team with both student and parent. History is not just about the past it also teaches us about the future and should be taught in an interesting and fun way that will enthuse and develop every student
