A patient, friendly and enthusiastic tutor, with a genuine passion for education.
Whilst my degrees are in the History of Art, my background lies in English language education. I have two years experience working as an English teacher in a public secondary school in Japan, where I was responsible for developing the curriculum as well as teaching classes.
Since returning to the UK, my emphasis has focused more on adult education and the arts. I have given short talks at the Courtauld Gallery on items from their collection, as part of the Courtauld Lunchtime Lecture series. I am also about to embark on a placement within the Adult Learning Department at Tate Modern.
I am eager to hear from students of all ages and levels who need assistance with art, art history, or English learning. I believe the key to any successful learning experience is the creation of a relaxed, informal and non-threatening environment!
Also available for essay writing help and proof reading.
Please feel free to get in touch with any questions you may have, or to discuss learning options.
