I am a freelance artist with a biology (agricultural research and health-care) professional background. I originally started drawing whilst studying Biology (microscope, dissection and anatomical drawings!) but over the years have drawn, painted and made things in all sorts of materials from pencil and wate r-colour to glass, wax, plaster and string.
I enjoy experimentation in my art practice and accuracy in science.
I have a teenage family and understand the stress of exams but teach all ages from under 8 years to over 80 and enjoy diversity in my students. My aim is to bring out the individuality of each student in their art work so that a strong personal style develops, within any requirements of curriculum.
In teaching Biology I love students to be excited by the way our bodies work and living things grow and develop and be able to answer their own questions as well as those of the examiner!

Availability: Daytime, evenings, weekends depending on availability and distance of travel.
Travel time and costs will be in addition to Tuition Fees

Experience: I"m a graduate of Central St Martins College of Art and Design and a practicing artist and workshop leader. I am also a freelance tutor of art, including drawing,painting, sculpture, installation and fine art performance, digital media I also teach other subjects including human anatomy, physiology and pathology, plus rural studies,botany and field plant identification. Many years freelance experience with all ages and abilities and disabilities.
Previous experience in agricultural research and development and Professional Health Care.
