I am an experienced and CRB checked teacher who has worked mainly as a year 5 class teacher. I offer one to one 11 plus tuiton, preparing children for their grammar school entrance exams. I recommend that children start from the beginning of year 5. I do an initial assessment test which is an hour in length. I analyse suitability of the pupil, according to the results of the test.
I use a detective themed Programme of Study that has been designed to make learning interesting, fun and engaging. I familiarise the pupils with the different types of questions and teach them strategies to enable them to find solutions. I use regualar assessment cards to monitor their progress so that areas for improvement can be identified and targeted. I look forward to hearing from you.
