Prior to retiring 3 years ago I was the main full-time biology tutor at at West Herts College for over 25 years, teaching A/AS biology/human biology, GCSE biology/human biology, plus being the Access biology tutor for science and nursing students. I`ve also taught environmental science at the college and evening classes in ecology and conservation for Birkbeck College in the past.

As I`ve retired I now have more time available to do private tuition, having done this many times in the past. I`m passionate about my subject and am told that this comes across in my teaching, along with my sense of humour. Learning may not be easy but should always be enjoyable!

I`ve prepared students for external exams for many years so am well aware of what successful study entails.

In my spare time I`m a fervent herpetologist, being fascinated by reptiles and amphibians, and love wildlife of all kinds.

Availability: I`m available most evenings and weekends, other commitments permitting, plus some days during the week. I am very flexible and will try to fit around student availability.

I always see students in their own home, rather than have them come to mine.
