I am a qualified teacher with 15 years teaching experience and more recently examining experience. I have a degree in Chemistry BSc (Hons) from the University of Sheffield, and a PGCE also from the University of Sheffield.

I am a current teacher of Chemistry in a secondary school in South Yorkshire.
I teach all sciences to GCSE and Chemistry to A level. I am an examiner and examine at a variety of levels.

I have over 15 years experience of teaching the AQA A level Chemistry course and I understand it’s challenges and the aspects of it that students find difficult. I have more recent experience of the OCR A level course. I teach over 80 students A level chemistry currently, and can anticipate topics they may find difficult. I understand many students have high aspirations involving Russell group university applications/ applications for the competitive medical science courses.

Availability: Over the summer holidays I have good availability most days.

From September onwards, I am free Monday and Thursday daytimes (good if your son/ daughter has a half day or free periods), and I have availability on some evenings and Saturday mornings).

Experience: I have been teaching and tutoring up to A level standard for over 15 years. I am an also an experienced examiner. I have seen many past students go on to study at top universities and also go on to study competitive courses (for example Medicine, which is the desired goal for many A level chemistry students). I have been tutoring now for a couple of years.
