Information about Helen
I am a law and maths tutor who has successfully taught a large number of students over the years. I have tutored students who require that extra one-to-one help to pass their exams as well as those who are hoping for the highest grades.
My background is that I am a qualified barrister who practised for a number of years before going on maternity leave. I practised in a variety of areas of law at first, specialising in criminal work towards the end.
I now work part time as a private tutor as well as being a tutor with the Open University.
Availability: weekdays and weekends
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
In 2010 I passed the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector course.
Since then I have established myself as a tutor and have tutored students in both law and maths.
With regard to law, I have taught those studying for AS-Level law, A-Level law, law degrees, CILEx and the Graduate Diploma in Law.
I have taught a variety of subjects within law, although my specialism is criminal law.
As to maths, having achieved an A at A-Level maths and a B at A-Level further maths I decided to combine my maths and teaching skills. I tutor teenagers to whichever level of maths they require. This includes teaching across the range at GCSE.
