I am Head of Chemistry at Tarporley High School in Cheshire.

I teach all abilities at GCSE, following the AQA Chemistry specification. I teach pupils studying the separate science chemistry route as well as those pupils studying chemistry within the AQA Science A and AQA Additional Science specifications at GCSE.
I enjoy teaching the AQA A Level Chemistry specification. Many of my current students have scored A grades on their CHEM1 January exams.

I have experience marking GCSE Chemistry papers for an exam board.

Following my graduation from the University of Durham I worked at the Atomic Weapons Establishment in Aldermaston as a Radionuclides Scientist. This role involved physics and chemistry and I undertook a variety of roles advising different government agencies.

Availability: Tuesday - Friday 1730 - 2100 (there will be the odd day when I have a parent`s evening, etc).

2 years teaching experience of KS3 Science (all abilities), GCSE Chemistry (all abilities) and A-Level Chemistry.

Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Chemistry (2:1), University of Durham.
MSc in Radiometrics (Distinction), University of Liverpool.
MRSC - Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
PGCE in Secondary Education, Bangor University.
