I hold a PhD in Engineering from Imperial College London and have over 8 years of experience teaching and preparing GCSE and A-Level students for their exams (please see the feedback from some of my students below). I regularly teach Maths, Further Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Electronics. I have a comprehensive knowledge of the curriculum followed by all major exam boards, including Edexcel, AQA, OCR and Cambridge.

I am a Chartered Electrical/Electronic Engineer working in Cheshire. I have an MSc and PhD in Control Engineering from Imperial College London (one of the top 5 Science/Engineering Universities in the World). I stood first in the entire MSc cohort and was awarded the Hertha Ayrton Prize for producing the best MSc project of the academic year. Furthermore, I obtained a Distinction in my undergraduate degree (BS. Electronic Engineering).

Regarding my tutoring approach:

Initially, I evaluate the student by identifying their strengths and weaknesses. Then, I follow a study program which is tailored to their individual needs and is focused upon turning their weaknesses into strengths.
I generally go through the core concepts and keep the students engaged by asking questions and testing their understanding (through quizzes and mock exams) in a formative manner. In addition, I place great emphasis on extensively practicing the past exam papers to ensure that students feel confident when they go into their own exams.

I believe that all students have the potential to learn. It is just a matter of inculcating confidence and motivation in the student. The tutee needs to be motivated to study the subject, not only for the sake of obtaining good grades but also for gaining and applying this knowledge. I like to highlight the importance of the particular study topic with real-life examples and uses. I find that relating the theory to the real-world generates student interest and helps in understanding new concepts.

I also have vast experience of teaching Undergraduate Engineering Students (from Imperial College London and other Universities). The subjects I teach include Maths, Electronics, Programming, Control Systems, Microprocessors, and Signal Processing. I have also supervised numerous electronics projects involving microcontrollers (PIC and ATMEL) as well as other components such as LCDs, relays, timers, counters, and ADC.
