After studying Natural Sciences at Cambridge University, I qualified as a Chartered accountant and have been using my mathmatical skills in a variety if Finance roles since then. A few yeras ago I took a career break to home educate my children for a year, and loved the one to one teaching experience. I also helped at my local after school club and currently voluntarily help out at a church childrens' group.

I have informally tutored friends' children to GCSE level, and am currently doing the same for my son. As a mother of 3, i have learned that positive reinforcement and encouragement are the key, along with a patient approach, often going right back to the basics, to identify the point at which the lack of understanding has arisen. I love it when people realise that they can get past the 'mental block' they so often have with mathematics.

Availability: week days or week ends by arrangement
