Elisa (Tutor)

I am a mother and a children’s tutor. I live in Edgware, North London. I was born in Yorkshire. I taught in a girl’s grammar school in North Finchley for 14 years and love teaching. I am of Italian parentage and also teach Italian. I now run my own tutorial school called ‘Elisa’s tutorial school’. This is advertised on the internet. I run a website called [contact detail removed] for the children I teach, it gives me a chance to write for them and to put their best work on display which encourages them to write. The concept of my teaching school is to have a working club ethos, where the children meet to read, learn, enjoy learning writing skills and have fun at the same time. My greatest strength is in teaching creative writing and most children who come to me become fantastic writers with a great vocabulary. I have lots of success with 7+, 11+ and 13+ entrance exams to top schools due to these creative writing skills.
Many get scholarships. I use my own work schemes which involve creative writing, comprehension and maths and are unique to my tutorial school. I also direct my children to the best materials available on the market in English, maths and reasoning. All this ensures exam success. I am well known in my area and get children into St Pauls, Westminster, North London Collegiate and Haberdashers

Availability: Saturdays 11am-5pm
