I am currently on my final year of a mathematics degree at Newcastle University. I am a very friendly, polite and very approachable person. I am very hard working and achieved a grade A in maths A Level and A* at GCSE.
I think the best way to study for maths is to do a lot of practice. I will cover a lot of practice papers- concentrating on the areas the student finds difficult. If possible I can have a look at any work they have completed in school that they have found difficult to grasp and help them understand it! I want to have a friendly relationship with my students so they find it easy and comfortable to ask questions or to speak up when they don't understand something. As well as practice papers I will do worksheets for each topic and every week I will refresh on what we did the week before to make sure they don't forget! After a few lessons I will know how the student learns best and hope to really help them get good results.

Experience: I have recently completed a placement in a secondary school. Here I learnt different styles of teaching and also tutored a lot of children before their maths GCSE exams. As an A level student at school I tutored younger students after school and brought their predicted grades up by two or three grades.

Qualifications: currently in my final year of maths degree at Newcastle university.
