Thank you for viewing my profile! Please take some time to read through my profile before contacting me. My name is Steven, 44 years old from Worcester. I am a friendly and compassionate Maths Tutor, and published academic author who is deeply passionate about tutoring and helping others to succeed. I am also one of the highest rated tutors for Maths in my tuition agency.

I have lectured part time at Halesowen College in the black country and have over 17 years of experience teaching Mathematics up to GCSE level on a ‘one to one’ basis. In the 2019 exams 100% of the students that I taught gained the equivalent of grade C or above in Mathematics at GCSE level, some even moved up two grades from their predicted level as a result of my one to one tuition. During this same exam period 100% of my students passed A level Mathematics gaining either A or B grades.

I have presented and authored several Maths revision DVDs that have been sold on amazon and used in UK schools as well as in other countries as far off as New Zealand and India. I am fully DBS checked in compliance with the protection of children act 1999. I can provide up to 3 references from parents of students that I have recently taught. My rates are very competitive and included in my fees are FREE Maths revision videos, notes and past papers.

I am a graduate from the University of Aston Birmingham. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, a certificate in Mathematics from the Open University and have A levels in Maths, Physics, Economics and General Studies. I am available from 4 to 9 in and around the Worcester area. I teach online only now, so I am able to teach students from other parts of the UK.

In addition to my academic qualifications I also hold qualifications in youth counselling, mindfulness and safeguarding. I am qualified in youth mental health first aid and am able to assist particularly with students who are anxious or depressed. I have taught a wide range of students with varied abilities and conditions including ADHD, cerebral palsy, anxiety and depression. I specialise in helping students with low levels of confidence and self esteem to help them succeed and gain the results that they want. I feel deeply privileged to be able to help others achieve academically and make a difference to their lives.

* Please only contact me if you are serious about wanting tuition and can commit to lessons once a week or fortnightly (no time wasters please) and are over the age of 18. Due to a high demand for my time I have to schedule appointments and operate a `first come first served service`. Once we have agreed to start tuition you will be offered a regular time slot each week or every other week. I do not teach on an adhoc basis. If you need to cancel a lesson then in line with tutorful`s terms and conditions I will need at least 24 hours notice otherwise the full cost of the lesson will be charged.**
