I am a graduate in Accounting and Law who is now training to be a secondary maths teacher, having completed a subject knowledge enhancement course developing a fundamental understanding of the fundamentals of mathematics.

Experience: I am currently training to be a secondary mathematics teacher at Marjon. I have taken the PGCE route having passed the 6 month subject knowledge course, covering all aspects of mathematics taught in years 7-11. The fundamental point of this course was to attain a `Profound Understanding of the Fundamentals of Mathematics` and emphasised how various aspects of mathematics are linked together. The ability to understand different approaches is fundamental to understanding. The subject knowledge also looked at various A-level topics. My strongest areas of A-level knowledge are Decision and Mechanics.

It is all very well and good having this knowledge but it is another aspect to portray it in a manner that is accessible. I believe that I have the articulate communication skills and a range of resources that help achieve this.
