After a 20 year career in IT I decided to retrain to teach English as a Foreign Language, since this is something I’d always been interested in doing. I obtained the CELTA and PTLLs qualifications and taught a number of private students in my spare time, whilst working full time. I also worked at Berlitz language school in London as a freelance tutor and Taught summer school at Cambridge University. I taught in a Portuguese schoo and then taught online ( adults and children) from all around the world via a couple of online teaching platforms.

Experience: I completed 6 hours` teaching on my CELTA course but in addition to that I have previously worked as a volunteer tutor at a Further Education college teaching adult literacy and numeracy. Last year I had two private students to whom I taught English as a Foreign Language. I also taught as a freelance tutor at Berlitz languagwe school in Holborn, and taught GCSE English Language (EDEXCEL curriculum, IGCSE) to another private student, who had previously failed her English GCSE with an E grade, but got a pass at C grade after studying with me for 5 months.
Previously I have taught NVQ IT skills to adults with mental or physical disabilities, and I have conducted group and one-to-one training sessions in a range of IT applications whilst working in IT over the last twenty years. I`ve also completed several modules of a degree in Art History.
