Information about Nicholas
Hello. My name is Nick. Im 22 years old and currently in my 3rd year studying Medicine at university. I am keen to help students at all levels with Maths as I have developed a very good understanding during my time at school. I was a maths ambassador and helped many students at help sessions. I would also be happy to talk about my experience applying to Medicine and about my decision to take a gap year.
I have previously tutored GCSE and A Level maths over zoom and feel that this works well with students as I am able to be flexible with the timing of lessons. I run my sessions mainly by giving support with questions. Maths is a subject that if you have repetition within your revision, you will improve dramatically - not only with timing but accuracy as well. I will be able to teach an area of maths and then help answer any questions students have as we work through questions together.
Exam technique is also an important factor when it comes to revision, which I can assist with. You will be able to carry this forward with all of your subjects.
If you would like to talk about applying to Medicine at university as well, I can also offer my advice and share my experiences with the admission exams and preparing for interviews.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: During sixth form I was a Maths Ambassador. I used to volunteer every week to help tutor students that were struggling with particular topics.
I was also Chemistry Subject Captain. This meant that I had to run a weekly club for students who had an interest in the subject.
In order to study Medicine at university, I took a gap year. In this time, I retook my UCAT and BMAT. I would be happy to discuss this further.
DBS Check: Yes
