Information about Stephen
An Undergraduate student at Imperial College London, studying Physics, keen on sharing my knowledge, expertise, tips and life advice which allowed me to achieve A*A*A*AA at A-level whilst keeping a good work-life balance.
Availability: Monday to Sunday 10am to 8pm.
Willing to travel: 8 miles
Experience: With over a year of accumulated tutoring experience, I have previously taught several in-person Year 11 GCSE Maths classes in secondary school for student sitting the Higher Tier paper (aiming for 7+) through my Mathematics Leadership Level 2 qualification. This has allowed me to enhance my teaching and leadership skills, showcasing discipline and patience. Additionally, I am currently tutoring a Year 7 GCSE Maths student through online private tuition at Inspire Maths Tuition, and a couple of GCSE, Eleven Plus and A-level students through First Tutors and Tutorful. My duties vary from preparing and deliver lessons tailored to their curriculum and weaknesses, to assign self-made homework and revision resources, and provide explanation of the exercises assigned to them. I also ensure to keep in contact with the student’s parents/relatives, informing them of their child’s performance, any concerns or praises about the student on my side, and answer any queries they may have.

Stephen has a relaxed, quiet manner and is able to engage our son and keep him gently on task. Stephen demonstrates clearly how to do maths tasks in several different ways also discussing with the child the quickest method or most suitable method. He is a great tutor for our son because he creates space for the child to think and talk about how they have found the answer. He has excellent tips for exam strategy. Our son is enjoying the sessions, which is a tribute to Stephen and something we felt was important when looking for a tutor.
