I`m a counsellor giving therapy for adults and teenagers in the NHS, with the charity Mind and privately from my home in St Albans. I graduated in physics from Nottingham University with a first class honours before working in management consulting for two years with Accenture in London. From when I began my studies I have tutored maths and physics and love working with my students. Despite a career change into psychology (I did a masters at the Edinburgh University and have since qualified as a therapist) I maintain my teaching as I thoroughly enjoy it and I find my counselling work complements it perfectly.

Ben really listened to the kind of help we required for our son. He built up his confidence, not just in the Physics and Maths which we asked him to help with, but in the process gave our son back his self belief. Ben was patient and very quickly worked out the best plan of action. I never thought we would hear our son say he was actually enjoying his extra Maths. He never felt overwhelmed, and with Ben`s slow and steady guidance, he was confident going into his exams and as best prepared as he could be. He passed both Maths and Physics and is now back at school studying A Levels. I can`t recommend Ben highly enough.

I was on Cs and Ds in Physics A level but with Ben`s help I was able to achieve an A and I am so grateful! Ben is very good at explaining concepts in physics, especially by using helpful analogies and connecting the concept to something I can easily visualize. He is very caring, not patronizing or commanding at all, and is very willing to go over something over and over in order to make sure you understand it. When going through exam questions it`s almost like having an examiner by your side with Ben helping you! Would definitely recommend him as good physics tutors are hard to come by and he is amazing.

I would highly recommend Ben as a GCSE Maths tutor. He is very patient and knowledgeable. Helping my son achieve a grade higher than his predicted GCSE grade.
