Information about Laura

I am from Barcelona. I am a Spanish and Catalan native speaker who has been living in Loughborough for three years. I went to the UK because I studied a degree to be a Spanish and Catalan teacher and I found the opportunity to be a Spanish assistant in England so I thought it was a good start for my experience as a teacher and also to improve my English.

Before I went to England I did a Master`s degree to be a Spanish teacher (the equivalent to the PGCE) so I also did my Master`s teaching in a High School.

I love languages and teaching them. My other passion is sports and I practice athletics since 7 years ago.

Experience: I have been working three years as a Spanish Assistant in a Grammar School helping girls and boys to improve their oral skills in Spanish for the GCSE and A-level exams.

I used to work as an athletic coach for children in Barcelona and I also did private lessons for natives in my home town and for foreign people when I did my Erasmus in Holland.

Laura is an excellent tutor! From the very first lesson she has been brilliant. Assessed my current standard and then listened to my goals and specific areas I wanted to improve on. From there she tailored the lessons accordingly and made them fun at the same time! I look forward to the lessons every week and would thoroughly recommend Laura to anyone of any level :-)
