Hello! I`m Claire, I`m a primary school teacher at a school in Portishead.

I specialise in supporting young children`s reading and literacy skills.

Availability: I am available weekends and evenings.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have taught primary age children for ten years. I trained in Devon and have taught at a prestigious, outstanding primary school in Bristol and a similarly respected school in Portishead. I have also previously worked as a supply teacher across all year groups and am used to working with children in need of additional support to help them to achieve their potential.

I am experienced working with children with additional needs such as dyslexia and will adapt my teaching to suit the needs of each pupil. I understand the importance of consistency in teaching and can continue to implement teaching styles similar to those used in your child`s school. For example, if your child has been taught Phonics using Read Write Inc, I will continue to teach them in a similar to help embed their previous learning.
