Information about Tom
I am an second year Economics student at Newcastle University. My course is heavily maths and statistics-based, with a module in history as well.
At A-Level I studied Maths, Economics, and Chemistry, achieving grades A, A*, and A respectively. At GCSEs, I achieved 5xA*, 1xA, 2x9, 2x8, and a B in additional mathematics (9xA*, 1xA, 1xB). I also went through the application process for economics and management at Oxford University.
I mentored year 9 and 11 boys whilst at school, helping them settle into school, and have also guided my younger brother through his lockdown GCSE studies. I was a House Prefect at school and captained the school rowing team. I am well versed in online learning, having spent the entity of my first year of university in online lectures, seminars and workshops, using online textbooks, google classroom, and google drive.
Having recently finished the secondary school experience, I am in a good place to advise those at the start of their journey on how to make the most of every opportunity available to them, and to help them excel in their academics.
