Ebony

I am a qualified Teacher of Mathematics with 5 years of teaching and private tutoring experience in the United Kingdom and in the Middle East. I am also a GCSE Mathematics examiner for Pearson Edexcel, and I have worked in both primary and secondary schools in mainstream and special educational needs settings. I have taught a wide range of students from the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1-4.

I have only had positive feedback from the parents/guardians that I interact with and I have a solid rapport with all my students which contributes massively to their high engagement levels. I allocate planning, preparation and assessment time outside of tuition time to create personalised lessons to suit the needs of my students, depending on the objectives of the lessons. Lessons are created based on the students’ goals, their strengths and weaknesses and national curriculum aims to ensure full coverage of their chosen subject/s. At the end of each tuition session, I either speak to the parents/guardians of my students or fill out a feedback form to provide instant feedback.

I possess a significant amount of working experience with students with special educational needs and disabilities, including Autism, ADD, ADHD, SCLN, Cognition and Learning/Communication, Dyslexia, Cerebal Palsy, Diplegia, Global Developmental Delay, SEMH and Visual Impairments.


MY RECENT MATHEMATICS RESULTS (2017-2019):
- 41% of my KS2 class were working at ‘greater depth’ in mathematics by the end of the academic year
- 24% of my higher ability KS3 class achieved above their predicted GCSE mathematics grades in their end of year assessment
- 91% of my middle ability GCSE class achieved above their predicted GCSE mathematics grades in their end of term autumn assessment
- 90% of my middle ability KS4 class achieved grade 4 (grade C) or above in GCSE mathematics in their end of year assessment
