We are a trilingual family of 4 with 2 boys aged 3 and 6. Both boys were born in London and have attended nursery from an early age. Both boys are trilingual. Unfortunately, it is an old truth that the more languages one knows, worse he or she knows them. We are looking for a tutor to spend time with our eldest son who is now in Y1 of primary school. His grades are fine, so we are not looking for someone to follow the school curriculum. However, we would like for him to expand his vocabulary and by the time he is in Y2 to read better than average with a view of applying to Eltham College or similar from Y3.

Our son`s only exposure to English is in school and during some play dates, which is probably not enough if we want him to converse and read better than average for his age.

The challenge is for us to find a tutor who can engage an active 6 year old through various activities and consciously lead the conversation and various exercises with a view of expanding his vocabulary to enable him to better read and articulate himself.
