- Economics (A-Level)

I have taught many students who have gone on to be successful at Russell Group institutions, as well as help students significantly improve their grades.
My Approach to tutoring:
I try to treat each tutee as an individual by initially assessing what they are seeking to get from my sessions in order to tailor a programme for them. This requires learning about the background of the student and their current educational situation.
If the tutee is learning the subject for the first time from home I will seek to devise a full curriculum and resources for them to work on during the week and support them through weekly sessions. If they are studying the subject in school/college I will seek to identify what they need further one-to-one support on in relation to content and/or exam technique and devise a tailored programme for them. If they are resitting a subject, we will seek to initially identify what went wrong previously and work to devise strategies with the student to overcome them. I am always keen not to just lecture to a student during sessions, but instead encourage them to show me what they are able to do or work on as they progress.
As many students have missed a lot of teaching during recent school closures, I am also prepared to help students quickly fill in the gaps they will need to catch up on before exams approach.
Availability: During term time I am available for sessions at weekends, but could also do some after school.
