Information about Clara

Hi there,

I am Clara, a french and german girl studying a Msc in Phytochemistry at UCL. I grew up in France, started with Chemistry in Switzerland, and now I am here. I can basically teach all the sciences (even chemistry is my speciality) and of course French. I love to explain scientific knowledge o r to share about my culture since I am very young, and hope you want to be part of it!

I am an open-minded, dynamic and patient person who loves teaching since her early age and with a lot of regular teaching experiences (4 years in total)... Can`t wait to hear from you!

Availability: Very flexible, available almost the whole week except Wednesday nights.

Willing to travel: 4 miles

Experience: -Volunteer tutoring during my A-level year in Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology to prepare classmates for the A-level

-Private tutoring in Zürich in Maths and French (my first language) for teenagers.

-Class teacher in Mathematics for a small group of students willing to prepare for a Swiss test. (Equivalent to GCSE).

Clara combines two of the most valuable skills that any tutor should have; she has thorough understanding of her field and the ability to efficiently communicate her knowledge using creative and comprehensive explanations. Besides, she has a personal interest in, and commitment to working hard, and constantly strives to give her best effort. Normally, she revises the topic beforehand and follows a lesson plan, building up the learning process and revising what’s been covered at the end of the session.

Since day one, I felt more confident in chemistry and I had no doubt I was going to get a good mark. Clara was extremely supportive and helpful all along, even when we didn’t have any sessions scheduled. For all these reasons, I could not recommend her highly enough and I will most certainly be having more tutoring sessions her in the future.
