Vladka

I`m a mature lady, mum of four, with over 20 years of experience of working with children and young people, including clients with special educational needs and pupils with English as a second language.

My interests include sport, I coach swimming at a local club.
I`m very creative and enjoy encouraging students in lateral thinking.

I come from science and health care background as I`ve studied physiotherapy and chiropody when living in the Czech Republic.

I`m a member of Interpreting & Translating Service for Czech & Slovak, and have intermediate German & Russian.

I hold BSc Hons from University College London in Psychology with Child Development, Cognitive Processing in Learning and Linguistics Majors and a Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English.

My other qualifications include all ages First Aid, and Mental Health First Aid which enables me to have a clearer understanding for students who find studying for exams emotionally difficult.

For 8 years I`ve worked in the SEN and Learning Disability sector drawing up and delivering Individual Educational Plans formed on academic as well as skills based potential.

Last 2 years I have been working at St` Andrew`s High School, Worthing, as a Cover Teacher delivering lessons in English, Math, RE, GCSE PE and Science - GCSE Biology.

My Primary School experience include supporting pupils in literacy & numeracy, and SATs preparation.

I also offer a unique service for children in Pre-School developmental stage - `Play & Learn` which is a creative approach to Early Years Learning using children`s natural ability and interests to develops fine motoric movement (used in writing) and pattern recognition (used in reading). `Play & Learn` centres on building a positive approach to learning.
